Steve Adler, age 53
Steve is a prominent business man out of Mt. Vernon, NJ.  His business background includes: President of Adler Tank Rentals, President/Owner of Sabre Manufacturing, an environmental and oil/gas field equipment manufacture that created  200 jobs in an economically depressed area Knox,Indiana. He is also President/Owner Adler of Industrial Services located in Newark, NJ providing industrial services and Adler Roof-Vac Services that provides roof preparation services for commercial roofing contractors.

Not only does Steve have an accomplished business background, but he is also an experienced endurance athlete.  Back in 1998 he ran the infamous New York City Marathon while fundraising for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  In total he has completed 20 marathons, Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, the Eagleman Half Ironman , Ironman Wisconsin twice and Ironman Switzerland twice.  With all of those races, Steve is proud to say that he has been able to complete every race he’s started.  This race however presents a new challenge as it will be Steve’s first race in 4 years since being hit by car and suffering from multiple broken bones and severe Achilles damage.  But he’s excited to get started, and his doctor and fellow teammate, Tony Cioce assures him it will be “no problem”.

A big motivation for Steve’s participation in this Ironman Event and working again with LLS is to honor his Step Dad who passed away from lymphoma.  Since then his family has been very involved in cancer research and financial support.  Even though he has accomplished First race in 4 years. Was hit by a car (illegal alien,no driver license,no insurance) 4 years ago broke multiple bones and severe Achilles damage. Very excited to fire things up! My Doc(Tony Ciose) says no problem.
