IronTeam members with 6 time Ironman winner, Dave Scott

In August 2012, a few dedicated individuals will set out to accomplish the ultimate physical and mental challenge: Completing an Ironman Triathlon. Over the next year, they will push their bodies further than they know possible, challenge their wills, and dedicate 20+ hours a week to prepare for this event.

However, all of this pales in comparison to the challenges faced by cancer patients every day. This is true motivation for the IronTeam. They are dedicating their efforts to the 1 million patients served by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission.

Beyond the goal of completing the inaugural Ironman U.S. Championship event in New York and New Jersey, these athletes have taken on the additional mission of raising $500,000 for LLS’s research and patient service programs. Half a million dollars is not a small feat, but that money will go a long way in the fight against blood cancers and we need your help to get there!

Please make a donation to support our IronTeam, our patients, and our mission to 140.6 miles and a cure!

Donations are 100% tax deductible, corporate matching gifts welcome. Learn more about our mission: www.lls.org.  Proceeds of this event have been allocated to support an LLS funded research project for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).  To learn more about this research project: AML Reseach
