Way to Go IronTeam!!!

After a grueling eight months of training, six members of the New Jersey IronTeam – Guy Adami, Leif Babin, John Hyland, Robert Kobus, Christine Corey and Erik Johnson – all successfully completed the inaugural Ironman U.S. Championship of New York and New Jersey on Saturday August 11. They accomplish the amazing feat of swimming 2.4 miles in the Hudson River, cycling 112 miles up the Palisades Parkway and finishing with a full marathon (26.2 miles) concluding in Manhattan’s Riverside Park.  One member of the team, John Kellenyi successfully completed the swim and cycle portions but was forced by a calf injury to stop during the run.

The team is still determined to reach their goal of raising $500K to support blood cancer research.
